Online Advertising Study Participant Terms and Conditions
Participant Obligations
- Participants agree to participate for a period of up to 180 days.
- Participants agree to spend a minimum of $250 on any online advertising medium of your choice. Participants may elect to spend more, in which case AdChoice will increase its matching funds, up to a maximum of $750. If you have no preference for medium, AdChoice normally recommends a Google Adwords™ pay-per-click campaign.
- If you have a website, Participants agree to provide AdChoice with a technical point of contact for your website, with whom we can coordinate any technical activities related to the study, for the duration of the study. AdChoice will pay reasonable and customary fees to any 3rd-party service providers.
- If you have a website, Participants agree to add the AdChoice Measurement Code to their website for the duration of the study. The Measurement Code consists of web analytics software from certified 3rd-parties that enable measuring the results of your online advertising campaigns. All code is secure and does not acquire any personal data from your site. See the AdChoice Measurement Code Implementation Guide for details. AdChoice will pay reasonable and customary fees to 3rd-party service providers as required to add the Measurement Code to your site.
AdChoice Obligations
- AdChoice will provide matching advertising funds, up to a maximum of $750, for additional online advertising that promotes your business. Advertising will be purchased on one or more additional advertising websites and/or networks that are commonly used by your profession, including pay-per-click search engines, local directories, trade directories, and others. Websites and networks will be selected by AdChoice, at its sole discretion. AdChoice may also elect to spend more than the matching level, at its discretion. All customer traffic resulting from campaigns conducted under the study will be directed exclusively to your business.
- AdChoice will set up and manage all advertising campaigns related to the study, for the duration of the study, at no charge to participants. No other charges or fees will be levied by AdChoice for campaigns related to the study, other than the advertising costs stipulated under Participant Obligations Item #2, which are paid to your chosen advertising network (e.g. Google).
- AdChoice will provide customer support to participants for any technical or business issues related to the advertising campaigns conducted under the study, for the duration of the study. Customer support will be available during the hours of 9am to 5pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
- If your website is managed by a 3rd-party, AdChoice will pay reasonable and customary fees to that 3rd-party to cover the costs of adding the AdChoice Measurement Code, any technical support required from the 3rd-party during the study, and removal of the Measurement Code after termination of your participation in the study.
